Coinbase Sets November Cutoff for Ampleforth Governance Token
Major cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced plans to suspend trading for the Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH). The trading cutoff is scheduled for November 23, 2026, at approximately 2 PM ET.
According to Coinbase, the decision follows a review that determined the asset failed its listing standards. The suspension impacts Coinbase's main venues, including Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime.
Token Enters Limit-Only Mode Ahead of Wind-Down
Prior to the complete trading halt, FORTH has been transitioned into limit-only mode across the affected platforms. Users can place or cancel limit orders, but market orders are no longer available.
The token's upcoming removal aligns with broader ecosystem developments. The Forth DAO community approved a project wind-down during a vote on September 18, 2026, and several other exchanges have already removed trading support for the token earlier in the year.
Withdrawals and Upcoming DAO Distribution
Holders will retain the ability to withdraw their tokens from Coinbase after trading ceases. Users looking to manage their assets will need to transfer them to self-custodied wallets or alternative venues.
Meanwhile, Forth DAO has planned a USDC distribution connected to the wind-down process, with a snapshot scheduled for December 1, 2026. Exchange users holding tokens should verify whether their respective platforms support such distributions.
