Payward Plans US Perpetuals Market Launch on Hyperliquid Infrastructure
Payward is moving to introduce a regulated Hyperliquid US perpetuals market through its HIP-3 testnet architecture.

Payward Expands Derivatives Strategy on Hyperliquid
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, is planning to establish a regulated Hyperliquid US perpetuals market on the Hyperliquid decentralized trading platform. Following the news, Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, registered a 4.8% price increase according to reports from Crypto Briefing.
The move makes Payward the first entity regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to deploy products on Hyperliquid's HIP-3 infrastructure. The underlying network architecture is currently operating in a testnet environment while awaiting necessary regulatory clearances.
Infrastructure and Strategic Partnerships
To facilitate market operations and compliance, the planned initiative integrates specialized financial partners. Payward will leverage Bitnomial for market creation services, while NinjaTrader Clearing will manage customer account operations.
The project remains subject to formal regulatory reviews before full consumer implementation can proceed in the United States. Observers note that pending regulatory determinations and the final rollout of the HIP-3 framework will serve as key performance indicators for Hyperliquid's institutional adoption trajectory.
Broader Regulatory Footprint
The deployment plan follows earlier international regulatory milestones for Kraken's parent organization. On October 21, Payward secured in-principle approval from the Astana Financial Services Authority to conduct crypto operations in Kazakhstan, according to NewsBTC.
As institutional participation in decentralized infrastructure develops, additional technical milestones and partnership disclosures from Kraken and Hyperliquid are expected to influence market sentiment.
