Chainlink Introduces 24/7 Pricing for Tokenized Assets
Chainlink has officially launched Chainlink 24/7, a new pricing service designed to cover weekends and holidays for traditional assets such as stocks and commodities. According to Bitcoinist, this system relies on quotes from perpetual futures venues rather than closed traditional exchanges to determine off-hours prices. The infrastructure expansion aims to address market gaps when conventional financial markets are typically shut.
Aave has stepped forward as the very first partner to utilize these new feeds on its institutional Horizon platform. Meanwhile, Chainlink noted that its existing weekday infrastructure already covers more than $1.6 trillion in value. This development arrives amid a broader expansion of tokenized asset platforms across the financial sector.
Broader Expansion Across Tokenized Asset Platforms
As tokenized assets continue to evolve, other major industry players are actively expanding their technological capabilities and integration frameworks. NewsBTC reported that tokenization platform Securitize announced plans on October 28 to integrate the Stellar network into the infrastructure it offers to institutional asset clients. This move highlights the ongoing push toward multi-chain accessibility for real-world assets.
In a parallel development reported on the same day, the Depository Trust Company, which operates as part of DTCC, officially launched its own tokenization service. Wall Street continues to test these new settlement rails as institutional interest in distributed ledger technology deepens. However, industry analysts note that creating better tracking frameworks remains a crucial priority for chief investment officers evaluating these products on their balance sheets.
