Weekend Trading Sees Dogecoin Volume Drops

Dogecoin volume drops significantly as the dog-themed cryptocurrency experienced a 49% decline in trading volume over a 24-hour period, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The drop brought total volume to $607 million during quiet weekend trading conditions.

The broader cryptocurrency market has continued to face selling pressure, contributing to reduced market activity and a temporary slowdown in digital asset participation as traders evaluate current conditions.

Inflation Data and Federal Reserve Comments

Dogecoin fell for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday as investors weighed hotter-than-expected inflation data. The economic figures arrive just two weeks ahead of the upcoming interest rate decision.

Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh declined to offer specific signals during comments on Thursday regarding whether another interest rate hike will occur this month.

Price Levels and Technical Indicators

Dogecoin is currently trading down to $0.079, having fallen below its 50 and 200 daily moving averages following a decline from an October 4, 2026 high of $0.097. The daily relative strength index has approached the oversold area, resting at 34.

Despite the downward pressure, crypto analyst Ali noted that the daily TD Sequential has flashed a buy signal. URPD data indicates that approximately 36 billion DOGE were previously traded around the $0.081 level, where large holders have reportedly added about 600 million DOGE since October 12.
