XRP ETF Inflows Come to a Halt
US-listed XRP exchange-traded funds have officially ended a 13-week inflow streak, according to data from SoSoValue. During the week ended Oct. 16, XRP funds recorded $1.84 million in net outflows, reversing the $11.31 million in inflows registered during the previous week.
This minor reversal marked the end of the longest active weekly inflow streak among the four major cryptocurrency ETF categories. With XRP joining the downward trend, the last source of positive flows was removed as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana investment products continued to shed capital.
Broad Crypto ETF Withdrawals Total Billions
Across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP categories, investors withdrew a combined $575.91 million during the week ended Oct. 16. This brought total two-week withdrawals to approximately $1.81 billion, though weekly net withdrawals slowed from the previous week's $1.24 billion.
Ethereum emerged as the largest source of weekly outflows, accounting for roughly 56% of the combined net withdrawals. Ethereum products lost $319.97 million, extending a losing streak to three consecutive weeks and bringing total losses over that period to approximately $1 billion. Meanwhile, Bitcoin ETFs recorded $228.58 million in net withdrawals, marking a 66% moderation from the prior week's $681.10 million outflow.
Solana and Bitcoin Market Conditions
Solana funds experienced similar downward momentum, recording their second consecutive negative week with $25.52 million in weekly withdrawals. This followed $24.81 million in redemptions the previous week, bringing two-week losses for Solana products to $50.33 million.
For Bitcoin, the ongoing withdrawals coincided with struggles to sustain a recovery above $80,000 amid mounting concerns regarding US monetary policy. CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler noted that while Bitcoin ETFs saw two consecutive weeks of net withdrawals, trailing 30-day flows remained positive at about 15,400 BTC as of Oct. 16, suggesting that overall selling pressure was beginning to moderate.
