Dogecoin Trading Volume Surges Amid Market Pressure
Dogecoin is displaying an unexpected surge in interest while its price remains under pressure, according to reports from U.Today. DOGE trades close to $0.0767, down approximately 1.3% on the day. At the same time, trading volume on the largest exchange, Binance, has risen by approximately 19% in 24 hours, with several other platforms showing much stronger gains.
OKX volume is up approximately 49% and Bitget is up approximately 79%. Spot flows delivered the most striking figure as spot inflows reached $1.35 million against $1.12 million in outflows in a single recent hour. This created a net inflow of approximately $225,000, representing a change of more than 1,300% compared to the previous period.
Broader Market Context and Technical Levels
Over longer periods, the picture for DOGE remains weaker. Spot flows over 4, 8, and 12 hours are all negative, and the 24-hour net outflow sits near $9 million. The chart still looks heavy, with DOGE down approximately 20% over 30 days and 61% over the last year.
Support sits at $0.0750, where the latest wick found buyers. On the upside, DOGE must first win back $0.0800, with $0.0850 serving as the main target for bulls. Meanwhile, the broader crypto market has also experienced downward movement, with Bitcoin recently slipping below $80,000 as over $200 million in leverage unwound within an hour, according to BeInCrypto.
Security Warning Issued to Crypto Community
In addition to market volatility, the Dogecoin community received a security warning following a data breach disclosed by hardware wallet provider Keystone. Keystone reported unauthorized access to its official website, resulting in the exposure of customer shipping information including names, contact details, and order details.
Prominent community member Mishaboar cautioned users to prepare for potential targeted phishing attempts through emails, text messages, phone calls, and physical mail. Keystone and security advocates reminded users never to share their recovery phrases or private keys.
