BlackRock's IBIT Leads Bitcoin ETF Outflows as US Funds Shed $399 Million
US spot Bitcoin ETF outflows hit nearly $399 million on Monday, driven by BlackRock's largest fund redemptions since June.

BlackRock Records Major Redemptions
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) experienced $405.3 million in net withdrawals on Monday. This capital drain led a broader pullback across US spot crypto products, as American Bitcoin spot funds logged nearly $399 million in net Bitcoin ETF outflows to start the month of November. The figures mark the largest single-day exit of capital for BlackRock's spot fund since June.
The Monday redemptions followed severe market liquidations late last week. On Friday, US spot Bitcoin funds lost $643 million, recording their largest single-day total capital exit since June 25.
Binance Security Breach Triggers Broad Outflows
The spike in exchange-traded fund redemptions came immediately after a major security breach at Binance on Thursday, where hackers stole $6.3 billion from the crypto exchange. Following the incident, Bitcoin dropped 0.4% to trade around $77,900 as investors calculated the potential market consequences.
Binance registered $3.64 billion in net outflows within the first nine and a half hours after it restored withdrawal services on Sunday. The exchange announced that a second phase of asset withdrawals would open at 04:00 UTC on Tuesday as internal security checks wrapped up.
Derivatives Pricing Indicates Mixed Market Expectations
Derivatives market metrics from US exchange Coinbase show varied volatility expectations across major digital tokens through November 8. Implied volatility pricing signals an expected 5.8% price move for Bitcoin, which represents the smallest anticipated price variance among the top four digital assets.
Options data for XRP and Solana show expected price movements of 8.7%, while Ethereum options reflect a 7.7% expected price swing. Coinbase noted these standard deviation calculations measure anticipated price volatility based on options contracts rather than directional bias.
According to U.Today, the standard deviation calculations provided by Coinbase reflect a typical normal distribution context, indicating an estimated 68% probability that an asset's price will remain within the expected range by November 8.
If XRP experiences the anticipated 8.7% volatility move, its price could reach approximately $1.36 on an upward trajectory or fall to around $1.14 on a downward move, based on reporting from U.Today.
