Qubic Chain Freeze After Security Incident
Network validators are preparing to vote on a recovery plan after a Qubic chain freeze was enacted following a significant security breach. According to Cointelegraph, an attacker successfully drained approximately 1,400 wallets that relied on weak seeds.
Despite the scale of the compromise, Qubic reported that 87.1% of the stolen funds remain tracked onchain. Meanwhile, the remaining portion of the compromised assets has been successfully frozen at the crypto exchange MEXC.
