Governed Execution Meets Dark Pricing
ServiceNow and OpenAI have expanded their enterprise collaboration by enabling users to execute governed business workflows directly inside ChatGPT using the ServiceNow Action Fabric. The technical integration operates through a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) plugin available in the OpenAI marketplace, allowing users to transition from retrieving information to executing operational tasks within a chat window.
Under this setup, the ServiceNow Action Fabric applies existing enterprise permissions, context, and business rules to govern what actions an OpenAI agent can perform. While the mechanism brings active task execution into the conversational interface, ServiceNow's official releases omit all pricing details, seat fees, and rate card tiers for the integration.
This pattern of unpriced software capabilities extends across recent enterprise AI rollouts. Meta recently launched its personal agent Muse in Singapore—its fourth market alongside the United States, Canada, and Japan—while keeping its enterprise platform pricing unpublished.
Enterprise AI Infrastructure and the Control Tower Alliance
To manage the operational complexities of enterprise deployments, ServiceNow launched the Control Tower Alliance alongside eleven founding members: Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Cisco, HiddenLayer, Kong, NVIDIA, Okta, OpenAI, Stripe, WitnessAI, and Zenity. The alliance focuses on establishing infrastructure for security, governance, value measurement, and token metering.
Orchestrated via the ServiceNow Super Intelligence Control Tower, the centralized framework is designed to discover, secure, govern, observe, and track enterprise AI activity. Member representatives noted that commercial terms are increasingly moving toward usage-based models, requiring real-time visibility into consumption and spending controls.
While the alliance offers tools for token tracking and cost monitoring, the base price of the integration itself remains undisclosed publicly. As a result, large enterprise buyers negotiate commercial terms privately, leaving mid-market organizations and finance teams to implement metering tools without set baseline costs.
