OpenAI and Inception42 Partner to Deliver Tailored Enterprise AI in UAE
Abu Dhabi entities signed agreements with OpenAI and Inception42 to advance artificial intelligence governance across government and energy sectors.

Expanding Enterprise AI Across the United Arab Emirates
OpenAI and Inception42 are teaming up to provide tailored enterprise AI solutions to large organizations throughout the United Arab Emirates, according to ADMO. The initiative specifically targets major institutions across the Emirates rather than individual consumers or small businesses, establishing localized support for large-scale operations.
Inception42 operates as G42's sovereign agentic artificial intelligence company, focusing heavily on deployments tailored for UAE government and enterprise clients under the leadership of CEO Ashish Koshy. This collaboration builds upon a series of strategic milestones, including the July 2026 launch of Seraj, an Arabic enterprise large language model developed on OpenAI's GPT-4.1 and adapted using regional datasets.
Abu Dhabi Signs Major Agreements for AI Integration
Abu Dhabi entities formalized four major agreements with OpenAI covering government services, energy operations, and investment work as the emirate pursues a fully AI-native government. Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman attended the signing ceremony, which highlights the broad scope of regional integration.
Among these agreements, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company became the first energy firm worldwide to deploy OpenAI's frontier technology. This rollout occurs through a partnership with G42, integrating advanced models into upstream operations such as seismic surveying and production forecasting to enhance operational efficiency.
Sovereign Funds and Investment Frameworks
In the investment sector, Mubadala, Inception42, and OpenAI agreed to apply advanced systems to investment analysis and risk evaluation. This follows a dense series of product rollouts from Inception42, including the executive board platform Insight and the institutional investor tool Alpha.
Local connective tissue remains centered around Inception42, which appears across multiple major deployments including the ADNOC initiative and the Mubadala collaboration. Observers continue to monitor these developments for named client lists, deployment timelines, and specific contract terms as the regional AI strategy progresses.
