Sunak, Gray and Chandrasekaran Debate AI at New Delhi Forum
Global leaders gathered at Bloomberg's New Economy Forum in New Delhi to discuss artificial intelligence and shifting geopolitics.

artificial intelligence Reshapes Global Power
Global leaders convened in New Delhi this week to examine how artificial intelligence is altering international capital flows and geopolitical power balances. Former United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Blackstone President and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Gray, and Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran spoke on a prominent panel together.
The discussion took place during Bloomberg's eighth New Economy Forum, running from October 13 to 15, 2026. This year marks the first time India has hosted the high-profile gathering, which coincided with Bloomberg celebrating its 30th anniversary in the country.
The Plenary Session Focus
Under the overarching theme "A World in Play: Defining the New Levers of Power," the trio participated in an early morning plenary session titled "The End of Predictability." More than 500 global leaders attended the event to analyze how technological integration impacts economic uncertainty.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also confirmed as a speaker at the forum. The multi-day conference brought together influential figures from policy, finance, and industrial sectors.
Diverse Perspectives on Industry and Capital
Each participant offered a distinct perspective based on their professional background. Sunak contributed policy insights, drawing from his experience hosting the 2023 artificial intelligence Safety Summit at Bletchley Park during his time as prime minister.
Gray provided the viewpoint of institutional capital, representing Blackstone as a key indicator for major investment trends. Chandrasekaran represented the industrial perspective as chairman of Tata Sons, an Indian business group and a founding partner of the forum.
