Record Growth Drives Higher SoFi Financial Outlook

Digital financial services provider SoFi Technologies reported record performance for the third quarter of 2026, driven by expanding credit operations and increased product usage. Adjusted net revenue reached approximately $1.4 billion, reflecting a 44% jump compared to the same period last year. Following these metrics, executive leadership raised the full-year SoFi financial outlook and released projections for 2027.

The company's net income for the quarter surged 73% year-over-year to $241 million, while adjusted net income stood at $243 million, delivering $0.18 per diluted share. Adjusted EBITDA climbed 70% to nearly $470 million. Investors responded positively to the announcement, sending SoFi shares up 9% in premarket trading on Tuesday morning.

Customer Expansion and Product Milestones

SoFi's performance was bolstered by significant expansion across its customer platform. Total membership climbed 35% year-over-year to pass 17 million, while total adopted products grew by 44%. Chief Executive Officer Anthony Noto emphasized that the growth strategy relies on gaining new members, deepening product engagement, and maximizing revenue per product to enhance long-term shareholder value.

The digital bank currently operates eight distinct business arms that generate over $100 million in annualized revenue each. Looking toward long-term expansion, SoFi aims to manage 100 million active products by 2030. The company's roadmap includes developing five segments capable of delivering more than $1 billion in annual revenue each, alongside multiple secondary divisions generating hundreds of millions annually.

Digital Asset Integration and Infrastructure

A key element supporting SoFi's institutional growth is its expanding digital asset and blockchain services platform. The firm became the first national bank to facilitate stablecoin settlements across Mastercard's global payment network through its proprietary SoFiUSD token. Additionally, SoFi integrated its business banking and exchange network operations with Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken.

SoFi has also introduced SoFi Earn, a tokenized deposit offering providing an annual percentage yield of 4.40% alongside FDIC insurance coverage. The partner integration aligns with Payward's own expanding footprint in regulated European infrastructure, where the fintech firm operates EMI and MiCA-authorized entities under the Central Bank of Ireland.

Upgraded Financial Guidance Through 2027

With momentum continuing across its credit, banking, and digital asset divisions, SoFi adjusted its targets for full-year 2026. The firm now forecasts total 2026 adjusted net revenue of $5.04 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $1.66 billion, net income of $840 million, and adjusted earnings per share of $0.61.

Looking further ahead, SoFi introduced financial guidance for 2027. The company projects adjusted net revenue to reach $6.4 billion, representing roughly 27% growth year-over-year. For 2027, management targets adjusted EBITDA of $2.24 billion, net income of $1.28 billion, adjusted earnings per share of $0.90, and an adjusted net income margin of approximately 20%.
