Achieving Unicorn Status Ahead of the EasyA Public Listing
London-based blockchain and AI development platform EasyA has officially achieved unicorn status, announcing a valuation of $1.1 billion. The milestone arrives as the company prepares for an upcoming public market debut.
Founded by brothers Philip and Dominic Kwok, the application provides mobile-based coding education, AI-assisted tools, and hackathons. According to the founders, the platform has grown to over 1 million users by delivering bite-sized daily challenges that enable users to develop and launch applications directly from their mobile devices.
Direct Listing Plans and Regulatory Filings
In an interview with CoinDesk, CEO Philip Kwok noted that the company plans to pursue a direct public listing in the first half of next year. This approach will allow existing shareholders to sell stock publicly without requiring the company to raise fresh capital through a traditional initial public offering.
To prepare for the move, EasyA has already submitted a draft registration to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The $1.1 billion valuation was determined by an independent third-party firm using audited financial statements provided by the accounting firm PKF.
Expansion and Tokenized Shares on the Horizon
Looking ahead over the next 12 to 24 months, the platform intends to tokenize its shares and introduce a suite of advanced AI agents. COO Dominic Kwok confirmed that tokenizing equities is a key component of the company's roadmap for public trading.
EasyA currently collaborates with more than 350 academic institutions and partners with major technology and crypto entities, including Ripple and Solana. Startups emerging from its ecosystem have accumulated a combined valuation of nearly $50 billion.
