Uncovering the Anthropic IPO Share Price
According to Protos, Anthropic filed its IPO prospectus on Monday with the share price initially left blank, but a footnote in the document reveals a board-determined value of approximately $71.43 per share from late September. Even though the company sought to keep its formal share price quiet toward the end of the third quarter, the figures can be calculated using corporate disclosures.
In the third quarter, Anthropic recognized a $2 billion expense to match shares that employees donated to charity in August. The company subsequently settled that obligation in October by issuing approximately 28 million non-voting Class N shares. Dividing the $2 billion expense by 28 million shares yields a valuation of roughly $71.43 per share according to Protos.
Valuation Growth Leading Up to the Public Offering
Anthropic's valuation has climbed steadily across multiple funding rounds and corporate actions leading up to its planned Nasdaq listing under the ticker symbol ANT. In March 2025, Series E investors paid the equivalent of $5.61 per common share, which grew to $14.10 per share by September 2025 at a $183 billion valuation. The momentum continued when a Series G round closed in February 2026 at a $380 billion valuation, or $25.91 per share.
By May 2026, a Series H round valued the company at $965 billion, translating to $58.90 per common share equivalent. Following grants of restricted stock units and the September donation-match mark of $71.43, live estimates of the company's current stock price are near $90.80 on a split-adjusted basis, pointing toward a valuation near $1.5 trillion as it prepares to go public.
