Robinhood Posts Record Revenue as Prediction Markets Outpace Crypto
Robinhood reported record revenue in the third quarter of 2026, driven heavily by prediction markets that outpaced its cryptocurrency sector.

Robinhood record revenue driven by event contracts
Robinhood achieved a record $1.4 billion in total net revenue, representing a 12% increase year over year, according to the company's third-quarter results. Transaction-based revenue rose 19% to $867 million, supported by options, equities, and event contracts.
Event-contract revenue exceeded cryptocurrency revenue for the second consecutive quarter. Prediction-market revenue reached $173 million, up from $120 million in the previous quarter, while cryptocurrency revenue rose from $100 million to $120 million quarter-on-quarter.
Profit drop and portfolio losses
Despite the revenue growth, net income fell 14% year over year to $476 million, and diluted earnings per share declined 16% to 51 cents. The company stated that the results included $67 million in unrealized losses, primarily linked to the Robinhood Ventures Fund I.
Crypto trading activity recovered from the second quarter but stayed below levels from a year earlier. Robinhood reported approximately $50 billion in crypto notional volume, which is down 38% year over year.
