Compal Unveils AI Factory Infrastructure in San Jose

Hardware maker Compal Electronics is heading to San Jose to present its latest AI factory infrastructure designed specifically for Nvidia accelerated computing platforms. According to Cryptobriefing, the company is showcasing its hardware at the OCP Global Summit 2026, which runs from October 12 to October 15 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

The event has drawn massive attention from the industry, with the summit selling out and attracting approximately 15,000 attendees. Compal is positioning its offerings at Booth #E65, targeting developers and builders of some of the world's largest AI systems.

Focus on Power Density and 800VDC Architecture

The headline feature of Compal's showcase is an 800VDC power architecture paired with megawatt-class infrastructure. VDC stands for volts of direct current, and the system is engineered to help AI deployments cope with rising power density demands.

Instead of selling a single standalone box, Compal is presenting integrated systems covering four connected areas: power delivery, cooling, high-density compute, and rack-scale engineering. These co-designed solutions are optimized to work together smoothly as operations scale up.

Nvidia Ecosystem and Open Designs

Nvidia is playing a direct role at the summit by contributing open designs for its Vera Rubin rack-scale architecture. This contribution provides a clear blueprint for hardware partners like Compal as they build power, cooling, and compute systems tailored to dominant chip platforms.

With AI appearing prominently in over ninety percent of the event's press releases, the high demand at the summit reflects a broader industry shift toward managing the dense energy concentration required by scaling AI systems.
