AI Agents Transform XRPL Traffic
Autonomous artificial intelligence systems are rapidly becoming the primary driving force behind transaction activity on the XRP Ledger, according to data from the t54.ai platform. As AI agents generate the network's main commercial flow, traditional retail transfers are gradually being displaced by automated machine interactions.
During the turn of September and October, the daily number of settlements on the network stood at more than 600,000 transactions, with peak volumes reaching up to 700,000. Total transaction volume on the ledger has surpassed 13.94 million as 169 merchants operate actively on the network.
Infrastructure and Funding for the Agentic Economy
AI developers are increasingly shifting their systems to settle transactions in XRP tokens and the RLUSD stablecoin, citing the limitations of traditional banking for microtransactions occurring every second. According to t54's on-chain dashboard, traffic is led by the Heurist Inference Router with 9,973,942 transactions, followed by AskSurf at 863,012, Heurist Mesh at 512,623, LucyOS at 400,663, and ClawBank at 137,836.
To address corporate distrust in autonomous software, t54 Labs launched a Trust Layer based on the X402 standard to verify digital mandates in real time. The startup successfully closed a $5 million seed round featuring direct participation from Ripple and Franklin Templeton, alongside inclusion in the Mastercard Start Path accelerator program.
